May is a month of festivities in Houston with a plethora of events being organized across the city. From energy conferences to pop culture conventions, and from cultural celebrations to music carnivals, May is packed with interesting events for everyone.

POSH Houston Pride (May 4, 2025)

On Sunday, May 4, 2025, POSH Houston presents POSH Houston Pride at Warehouse Live Midtown. This vibrant event kicks off at 5 PM, offering a fun-filled evening of live entertainment, music, and celebration. Tickets are available for $20 for entry before 6pm, and $30 after 6pm. This event is part of a broader series of Pride activities happening throughout the year, leading up to the main Pride Houston celebrations in June. 

OTC (May 5-8, 2025)

The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) is an annual global event held at NRG Park in Houston and is one of the world’s largest energy gatherings. It brings together the energy industry’s elite to discuss the latest technologies, strategies, and innovations in offshore drilling. Over 60,000 attendees from 100 countries participate in the conference every year, showcasing new products and technologies and networking with other industry professionals. The OTC is a significant event for the energy industry, and Houston is proud to be its host.

Katy Perry Concert (May 7, 2025)

Katy Perry brings her Lifetimes Tour to the Toyota Center in Houston on May 7, 2025. Known for her high-energy performances, stunning visuals, and interactive stage setups, this highly anticipated concert promises a dynamic mix of classic hits like “Roar,” “Firework,” and “Teenage Dream,” alongside fresh tracks from her latest album, 143.

Emerging Artists Showcase (May 10, 2025)

On Saturday, May 10, 2025, the Asia Society Texas presents the Super Saturday: Emerging Artists’ Showcase from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This engaging event celebrates local student artwork and offers hands-on activities where attendees can learn various Asian art techniques. Participants will also have the opportunity to create their own artwork to take home. The event includes complimentary access to the Explore Asia exhibition and the Louisa Stude Sarofim Gallery. It’s a free event, but registration is required. 

Houston Greek Fest (May 15-17, 2025)

The Houston Greek Fest is an annual celebration of Greek culture held at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral in the heart of Houston. The event features traditional Greek cuisine, live music, dance performances, and an array of Greek art and handicrafts. The festival is an excellent opportunity to experience Greek culture and to learn more about the rich history and traditions of this ancient civilization.
